Who runs Fami
Fami is operated by two independent developers, Anjan Das and Ujjawal Kumar. For privacy questions or deletion requests, email meetfami@gmail.com.
What you submit
The waitlist collects your name, WhatsApp number, intended use and optional app idea. The contact form collects your name, email, team size, optional company and optional app idea. We also record submission time, a request ID and the privacy consent version.
We use these details to manage interest in Fami and respond to requests. Your phone number is private and is not displayed on the website. This release sends no automatic emails or WhatsApp messages. You can ask us not to contact you and to delete your submission at any time.
Where submissions are kept
Submissions go through a server endpoint on Vercel to a private Google Sheet via Google Apps Script, under the Fami Google account. The Sheet is the submission inbox. Access is restricted to the account and people the operators explicitly authorise. There is no public endpoint for reading submissions.
Vercel and Google process information as hosting and storage providers, potentially on infrastructure outside your country. Their services have their own privacy terms. We do not sell submitted information or use it for advertising.
Demo data stays in your browser
The simulator stores display names, groups, chats, app data and simulated notifications in this tab’s sessionStorage. It normally survives refreshes. Separately opened tabs and visitors do not share live data. Duplicated or restored tabs may start with a copy of an existing session.
Reset demo and Start fresh replace the demo data while retaining the two names. Clear the site’s browser storage to remove all session data. The simulator does not upload these entries to the submission Sheet and does not provide cloud backup. Please use fictional data.
Hosting, fonts and security
Vercel serves the website and may process technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and time in its infrastructure logs. Our forms do not intentionally write submitted fields or secrets to application logs or public responses.
We load Figtree and Fraunces from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to retrieve those fonts, which exposes technical request information such as your IP address. This release does not add advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
To limit spam, the server creates a secret-keyed hash of the connecting IP address and uses temporary counters. It also stores a keyed digest with each submission to detect conflicting retries. These hashes are not published. The browser sends no operating-system push notifications.
Retention and deletion
We remove submission rows from the active inbox after 12 months using a daily cleanup. Temporary anti-spam counters are cleared after their short operating window. Provider backups and infrastructure logs may follow Google’s and Vercel’s own retention schedules.
To request access, correction or earlier deletion, email meetfami@gmail.com and identify the details you submitted. We may ask for enough information to verify that the request is yours. Do not send identity documents unless specifically necessary and agreed.
Changes
We will update this notice when the website’s processing changes.
